Indian Army Serves The Nation in Combating COVID 19 Pandemic

In line with Indian Armed Forces comprehensive and coordinated response to the Nation’s battle against COVID-19 Pandemic, Eastern Army Command has provided medical assistance to other states. 

In the past two weeks,  the Command in coordination with Indian Air Force airlifted four  medical teams consisting of total 17 Medical Specialists, 67 Medical Officers, eight Nursing Officers and 226 Nursing Assistants from its various formations to be employed to provide critical medical assistance to #COVID patients in the enhanced medical facilities at Lucknow, Varanasi, Ranchi and Patna. 

This infusion of trained and disciplined medical personnel who prepared and moved at short notice will bring much needed relief and succour to the local community. The medical teams are working tirelessly round the clock to treat the patients and ensuring their speedy recovery. HQ Eastern command is constantly monitoring its teams for updates and assistance required by them.
