The newly constructed Vivekananda Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama was virtually inaugurated by Most Revered Srimat Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, President of the Ramakrishna Order, from Belur Math on sacred Ramanavami day, Sunday, 10 April 2022. Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission participated virtually.
Shri Jagannath Saraka, Minister, ST&SC Development Department, Govt of Odisha and Shri Saroj Kumar Mishra, Collector and District Magistrate, Rayagada participated in the inauguration ceremony as Chief Guest and Special Guest respectively. Swami Atmaprabhanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Bhubaneswar presided over the function.
This was followed by Ramanam Sankirtanam in the afternoon. In the evening, the students presented various cultural performances like Yoga Dance, Tribal Dance and Mime act. Shri Abhiram Nanda, accompanied on the tabla by Shri Sandip Kumar Rout presented flute recital. The programme was concluded with Odishi Dance recital by Smt Sonali Mohapatra and her troupe.
