The Terrace Open Mic Celebrates 3 years in Tripura

Once again Agartala, the capital of Tripura has witnessed an incredible cultural evening, “The Terrace Open Mic 3.0″. The event was conceptualized by ToTell and was supported by Tripura Tourism. The two days event on the 15th and 16th of February witnessed more than 50 voices who came to the forefront to present their creations of poetry, storytelling, song, comedy on the roof of Geetanjali Tourism Guest House. 

Santanu Chakraborty and Sanhita Sinha did an excellent job of selecting 53 participants out of 112 registered applicants. The artists grabbed the chance to present their creations in Kokborok, Bengali, Hindi, and English in front of the assembly of more than 300 spectators. 

The two brilliant faces of the state, Antima Baidya, and Swattik Chakraborty have hosted the successful episodes of  “The Terrace Open Mic 3.0” eloquently. 

The occasion was graced by the august presence and performances of Nandita Dutta, well-known journalist from the state, Bipasha Hrangkhawal- Tripura’s first woman air traffic controller, Somnath Bhowmik- a social worker, ABEN – Live looping Artist, Freakyy- noted rapper of the state, Funholic Chokrey- the prominent Youtubers who recently received the ‘Silver Button’. 

On the 2nd day of the event, few noted artists like BK Hrangkhawl- popular rapper of India, Raj Agnihotri, stand up comedian from Mumbai, and the presence of many others guest performances had added value to the evening.

Co-founder of ToTell Joyshankar Bhattacharjee opined that ToTell is and will always be with the talents of the entire North-Eastern region and will dedicatedly work towards providing a well-deserved platform to them. ToTell also is working to uphold the rich cultural heritage of the North-Eastern region.
