Fact Check: The Post about CBSE Result on May 11th is FAKE

As a large number of CBSE students across the country are eagerly waiting to receive their results for Class 10 and 12 exams, a fake CBSE circular has surfaced on social media creating confusing among the students and worrying parents. The viral document claims that the results will be uploaded onto the CBSE official website on May 11 (Thursday) and shared with schools via email.

We at News Sense also received the post with requests to verify the claim. We started our investigation, first by visiting the official website of CBSE https://www.cbse.gov.in/ but couldn’t find any such circular. So we tried to reach out to the officials at CBSE Headquarter. The CBSE official assured that the official notice for the results will be issued soon, confirming the social media notice as Fake.

Further CBSE examination controller, Sanyam Bharadwaj has also confirmed that the notice that is doing round on social media is fake. CBSE also updated their social media pages with the claim that the post that is doing round on social media is fake.

So with all our investigation we can say that the post claiming that the CBSE results will be out on 11th May is Fake. Candidates will be informed via an official notice on the CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) when the results are actually released.
