A poetic conversation was held between Nandana Dev Sen, Author and Actor and Srijato Bandhopadhyay, a poet and scholar recently at the 100-year-old Oxford Bookstore in Kolkata’s Park Street, the occasion was, release of the book ‘Acrobat’, a collection of translated poems written by Nandana’s mother, Scholar and Poet, Nabaneeta Dev Sen.
To witness the occasion, Kolkata’s literary figures along with Nandana’s friends, family as well as her mother’s students were present. Nandana and Srijato had curated some of the poems that they recited beautifully remembering Nabaneeta Dev Sen in between the conversation.
The poems were originally in the Bengali language and had been translated to English by Nandana. Acrobat, the book is a deeply humane collection of Bengali literature and a collection of poetry about womanhood.
