Toastmaster of District 124, which serves India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, hosted a District Officers Training Program and Toastmasters Leadership Conclave in Kolkata and Siliguri between 24th to 27th June 2022 that saw 170+ Leaders across six countries attend a series of first of its kind events along with learning sessions.
The event saw Educational sessions on communication and leadership being delivered by top professionals across the sub-continent while an exclusive ‘Leaders’ Round Table’, saw leaders and influencers across India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and United Kingdom share their perspectives on ‘Leadership in a Diverse World’.
British Deputy High Commissioner –East and Northeast India– Nick Low delivered a keynote which emphasised on true leadership and the ways to hone one’s leadership attributes. He further added, “It was an enjoyable experience to interact with the Toastmasters from five countries at the Leadership Conclave in Siliguri”.
Political Economy Adviser to the British Deputy High Commission, Ajitha Menon added “It was a pleasure to engage with the Toastmasters at the Leadership Conclave in Siliguri. The enthusiasm, bonhomie, and team bonding on display was inspirational. I hope to attend more of these in future”.
District Director Ayan Pal, DTM, who is a Senior Consultant at IBM and Bestselling Author mentioned “This is the beginning we all needed, to help District’s elected and selected officers act as change catalysts to help our members get the most out of Toastmasters!”.
