Inter College Prototype Design Competition for Mankind was organized on 6th May, 2022 by Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata in its college campus, which brought together all the AEIE students and professionals to share their views, ideas and opportunities related to advancements of Instrumentation Technology for mankind.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Madhurima Chattopadhyay, Professor and Head of the Department, Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata said, “The competition has been organized to encourage students and to understand the mechanics of instrumentation Engineering”.
More than 55 engineering colleges across Bengal applied in order to participate in the prototype design competition but only 44 student representatives with their prototype design were selected to participate and exhibit their innovation before renowned academicians and scientists from across the country.
Dr Jaspreet Singh, Senior Scientist, ISRO also attended the prototype exhibition organized by Heritage Institute of Technology. Speaking to News Sense Dr Singh said, “What is more encouraging is to see the innovations, the students who have come up with, keeping in mind the relevance. I really appreciate the effort of the Department and Dr Madhurima Chattopadhyay for their encouragement to the participants”.
The winner in this competition was Haldia Institute of Technology followed by RCC Institute of Information Technology as the first runners up and Techno India Engineering College Main Salt Lake as the Second Runners up. But the competition has instilled a sense of encouragement among all the participating students.
