The School of Languages, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata organized Students Orientation Programme at its premises on 17th March 2022. It was also the occasion for the formal commencement of language classes at the historic centre after two years of covid pandemic.
The programme began with vedic chanting by the monks of the centre, followed by welcome address by Swami Suparnananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, followed by eminent speakers like Shakti Prasad Mishra, Dr Rajesh Kumar IPS, Shri Gangeshwar Singh IPS and Smt Sabujkoli Sen, the Principal of School of Languages, RMIC. Students of the School of Languages, Su Shreyasee Chakrabortty, Shri Suvranil Sarkar, Su Ayantika Bose and Su Anuska Datta also shared how Swami Vivekanada’s life and words inspires them.
All the eminent speakers stressed the need of discipline and self confidence in one’s life as stressed by Swami Vivekananda through his life and teachings. It was also the moment to help students to gear up with their studies and the power packed speeches of the speaker did the justice sharing their own experiences and how Sri Ramakrishna, Shri Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda has inspired and changed their life for better.
