New Town is going to have three such working pods in the residential neighborhoods, were one can walk in with their laptops and start working. As a pilot three working pods with 1000 sqft space are coming up near old NKDA office, Akansha More (Nawabpur) and Sankalpa 4 which are going to be operational from 13th August 2021.
Speaking to News Sense, Debashis Sen, IAS, Chairman, NKDA, said “Inside the working pod, one is going to have free Wifi, AC and books which is going to cost around 30 rupees for 90 minutes. Coffee and snacks are available at cost, which will be included in the final bill“.
Most importantly the working pods are going to run by women self help groups, thus generating employment opportunities for them.
