Boy Crosses Country to Meet Grandfather

BSF troops under South Bengal Frontier apprehended a minor Bangladeshi boy from the area of ​​Border Outpost of Firojpur, 78 Battalion. This Bangladeshi boy was trying to cross the International Boundary to go back to Bangladesh.
During the interrogation the boy was identified as Mohd Nayan Ali, age 12 years, S/o-Sadirul Ali, Village-Joharpur, Post- Narayanpur, Police Station, District- Chapai Nawabganj in Bangladesh. He also revealed that he had come in the India to meet his grandfather, whose name is Iramul Sheikh, a resident of  Bajitpur, in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. He also revealed that he was returning to Bangladesh, when the BSF troops apprehended him.
The apprehended minor Bangladeshi boy has been handed over to the BGB as a goodwill gesture. Shri Vishwabandhu, Officiating Commanding Officer, 78 Battalion stated that “on inquiry it has come to light that this minor boy has not come to India from Bangladesh with any wrong intention. The boy has crossed the International Boundary to meet his grandfather.
Though crossing the International Boundary comes under the category of a crime, but out of respect for the boy’s future and the sentiments of the border people, the boy is handed over to the BGB as a goodwill gesture.
