Injured Foal Rescued and Treated By Compassionate Residents of New Town

Spurred by an unprecedented passion of love and care, a wounded foal (Pony) who was hit by an unknown vehicle at Newtown was saved by the prompt action of the compassionate residents and authorities in New Town.

In an extra ordinary show of solidarity and compassion, just a SOS post with an appeal to rescue the pony on the WhatsApp group of Citizen Forum NTFN, united the residents for the action, who rushed to the rescue of the Pony, informing Inspector in Charge of New Town Police Station, Mr Sanat Das, as well NKDA Veterinary Officer.

Medical team and police also reached on time and treated the pony on the spot. Prabhakar Adhikary of New Town Police Station came along with his team and was there till the end. The team of New Kolkata Development Authority or NKDA and officials of Bidhannagar Commissionerate was there taking care of all possible medical aids.

The incident, bought together compassionate residents of New Town to rescue and serve the voiceless, setting a trend of human action, which can be followed in the days to come.
