NKDA (New Town Kolkata Development Authority) has started a COVID Test Kiosk at New Town Mela Ground to collect swab samples for the COVID Test. Every day at least 30 people can have their tests done in the kiosk, results of which will be available in next three days.
The Kiosk was inaugurated by NKDA chairman Mr. Debashish Sen, IAS. On the first day seven samples were collected. Speaking to News Sense, Mr. Sen said, “NKDA has provided space to two private labs to collect at least 30 samples everyday during fixed hours in the Morning and Evening. They can also collect the samples from home, if needed. Those who can’t afford the amount, can register their names and have their tests done free of cost as per government order“.
The Kiosk will be operational everyday from 11am to 12pm and again from 3pm to 4pm. The tests were conducted following all safety norms. Two private laboratories, Suraksha Diagnostic and SP diagnostic will be running the kiosk at two different time slots.
