The ongoing lockdown caused by COVID19 Pandemic has witnessed many innovations by individuals and organizations. One such example is set up recently by Mattzus Learning Technologies Pvt Ltd in Goa, whose Managing Director, Maxwell Rodrigues has played an important role in designing and manufacturing 100 PPE Face Shields in a record 1 day.

What inspired Maxwell was the crucial need of most people was 3D printing face shield headrest. It took at least one hour to two hours to 3DPrint one headrest. Being in the field of 3D printing himself he knew that that was not the solution when the state and nation needed to mass-produce and fast produce these face shields.

Maxwell says “We feel immense satisfaction that we could contribute in a little way to our state of Goa and Health Dept in this time of need to protect our brave service providers, police and doctors in their fight against Covid19.

Unlike those in the market, Mattzus Learning Technologies Pvt Ltd came up with simple foam based face shields that are most durable, soft, comfortable and easy to use for all Frontline service providers, police and health workers fighting Covid19 cases. Each face shield takes just 10 mins to assemble it and was the best option he could provide in mass and fast production.

With a capacity of manufacturing 1000 face Shields in less than a week Maxwell plan to serve all in need in Goa and beyond. Maxwell says, “We are getting inquiries from doctors, organizations such as Rotary from Goa and even from Gujarat and Hyderabad. Our major challenge will be to double our capacity and fulfill more orders“.

100 face shield and 100 face mask were handed over to Dr Jose D’sa, Director, Directorate of Health services, DHS, Goa on the 13th April thanks to the kind sponsorship for both by Rotary Club of Mapusa CITY.
Being a certified Goa state startup Mattzus Learning Technologies Pvt Ltd got full support from IT, Director, Ankita Anand and Rajesh Joshi from Start-up Promotion Cell, government of Goa. Also the President Rtn. Sanjay Gaude and members of Rotary Club of Mapusa CITY came forward for sponsoring the initial supply.
