Kids in New Town to celebrate Holi with Police Personals

Children representing Action Area I, II and III from New Town between the age group of 5 to 15 years have decided to celebrate Festival of colors this year with Police Personals, who are deprived of the celebrations because of their duties and responsibilities.

Holi or Dol in Bengal is celebrated every year where people of all caste, creed, religion come together to play with colors, they decorate each other with colors and become one with colors sharing fun, joy and happiness. At the end of the day every individual meet and greet each other with sweets.

It is often observed that Police personals are deprived of such colorful celebrations because of their duties towards society and locality and no one bothers to think of them.

Therefore this year on behalf of ‘New Town Forum and News’ in association with Gingerbread House India and Bidhan Nagar City Police, are organizing a Dol Utsav and Holi festival this year on 8th March, Sunday, 2020 where resident kids of New Town are going to offer petal flower colors to the Police Personals with the dream that the flowing flower petals on Police personals will color their hearts.

The festival of colors with the advent of Spring season fills everyone’s one with new thought and joy and to entertain the protector of law, kids are going to sing and dance in joy in sync with Spring Basanti Songs of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.

Festival of Holi also carries the message of unity in diversity of colors. So the forum will also make people aware of the side effects of colors that are made using different chemicals. Thus the purpose of the whole event is to spread positive by spreading positivity and inclusiveness and by promoting safe and healthy Holi.
