The Airtel Run For Education (ARFE) will see its 2019 Edition, which is also its 6th edition in the City of Joy on November 24th. Like every year since its inception in 2014, this fundraising sporting event is preparing up enthusiastically to accomplish its mission of empowering underprivileged children with the weapon of education. With the idea of ‘Freedom through Education’, ARFE has stood rock-solid on its determination of providing support in the form of finances and infrastructure to schools in and around the city to facilitate education for the needy. This year, ARFE, organised by Round Table India, the national social service organization and Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecommunications service provider, is all set to add another feather to its crown – to come forward as the biggest and the best Half Marathon (HM) of Kolkata!
In our endeavour of spreading the word of humanity, and awareness for fitness, we encourage active participation from Pacers, professional and novice runners from every walk of life, be it from high end corporates or houses in the neighbourhood. The marathon is divided into race categories of 5KM Fun Run, 5KM timed run, 10KM run and 21KM half marathon that make provision for individuals from every possible background to test their fitness, strength and add an essence of givingness and usefulness to their existence by uplifting another’s life. The funds raised from this annual event on the consecutive years have been used to construct classrooms across identified schools of West Bengal that are in dire need of public attention and funding for their running. This year too, our aim remains consistent.

About the Event:
Airtel Run for Education 2019, Kolkata Edition, is accredited by West Bengal Athletic Organization. The run setup will have three race categories over 5 km, 10 km and 21 km distances. The 2019 edition of the marathon expects to see over 8000 participants who will run from City Centre, Salt Lake on 24th November 2019 at 4.45 am. We are looking forward to massive participation from pacers and professional, novice and amateur runners from all over the city.
