Bengal’s first AI Experience Zone at SNU

Artificial Intelligence or AI, as we know is the ability of a computer to act like a human being through several applications, including software simulations and robotics. Sister Nivedita University has recently joined hands with Motes & Bots Technologies, an India-originated company based out of Thailand, engaged in the IoT and AI sector to develop first of its kind AI Experience Zone in Bengal.

The Connected Intelligence Research Lab integrating AI, BI, IoT, and Data science programs is going to develop curriculum by offering programs to the students to experience the next gen technologies. The Research lab will help in training the students to evolve themselves as tech entrepreneurs and use this platform to roll out new products. 

Debasish Sen IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Dept. of IT & Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal inaugurated the EXPERIENCE ZONE of AI: THINGS at Sister Nivedita University.

Swami Sarvottamananda, Pro Vice Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Education and Research University, Sweeya Santipitaks, Consul General, Consulate of Thailand in Kolkata, Satyam Roychowdhury, Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University and Subhajit Roy Chowdhury, Co-Founder of Motes & Bots Technology were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Debasish Sen IAS said that the state government has already implemented several world-class programes in the state and this new AI Lab at SNU marks the beginning of the West Bengal’s journey as Tech Bengal. 

Satyam Roychowdhury said, SNU offers educational programmes in a wide array of streams like Engineering, Law, Management, Media Science, Literature, Natural Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Fine Arts, Design along with research initiative through PhD programmes and now with this new collaboration with Motes & Botes, it will open new avenues for students.
