Assam’s Bihu in Bengal

Kolkata Assamese Cultural Association also known as KACA is organizing its annual cultural event the Kolkata Rongali Bihu on 13th May 2018 at Madhusudan Mancha, Kolkata from 5:00pm. The Kolkata Rongali Bihu is a cultural event, which reflects the cross cultural interest among the people of Assam and Bengal. It is also the cultural connect of the two native states, which has enriched the cultural values of each other time to time.

This year it the 10th edition in the series of cultural event, which Kolkata Assamese Cultural Association has been organizing for past 10 years. Keeping in mind the 10th anniversary event of the association has planned the programmes in broader sense. This year the association is going to facilitate Padmashri Shri Purna Das Baul, the legendary Folk Musician (Baul) during the event.

Apart from this the audience are going to witness Bihu Husori, the prime folk festival of Assam, which will be one of the main attraction of the evening with colorful Bihu dance followed by performance of renowned Assamese singer Simanta Shekar, who will perform live at the programe. The entry to the program is open for all.
