A batch of 155 recruits took oath to serve the Nation during an impressive Passing Out Parade at 39 Gorkha Training Centre, Varanasi recently. The Parade was reviewed by Brig SA Rehman, Commandant, 39 Gorkha Training Centre.
The recruits transformed from young lads to disciplined soldiers after being trained for 42 weeks on Basic and Advance Combat Training. 39 Gorkha Training Centre excels in the metamorphosis of young men into robust, mentally agile, tough and battle hardy soldiers. These soldiers are then posted to operational units including active field areas, to safeguard our frontiers.
The Parade was witnessed by a large number of Civil and Service dignitaries in addition to the parents of the recruits, school children and aspiring NCC Cadets. It was indeed an immaculate presentation of military ship-shapeness that mesmerised everyone with its precision and elegance.
As the squads presented arms before the saluting dias, they drew a thunderous applause from the audience. The spectacular sight of marching brave men, chest swelled with pride, motivated many a young heart to don the Olive Greens and do the nation proud!
As a token of appreciation in form of Gaurav Medal was given to the 155 parents/guardians of the 155 recruits, who had rendered their children for the duty of the Nation.
